Admissions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

UCF College of Graduate Studies advocates for graduate education, working to mobilize and arrange the resources needed for enrollment and program growth. We track and analyze emerging trends and changes in graduate education, nationally and with our peer institutions, and provide support and guidance for interdisciplinary and cooperative programs. We are mindful of the need to retain the academic values of the graduate programs while acting as a partner in the social and economic well-being of our students, alumni, faculty, and staff. The college is also aware of our responsibility to sustain and establish an inclusive graduate community at UCF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are committed to welcoming candidates from various disciplines and ensuring their successful degree completion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Impact<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In 2022-2023, the College of Graduate Studies admissions team efficiently processed 12,176 applications, extending 7,453 offers of admission and welcoming 4,603 new students into our graduate community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But it doesn’t stop there; the admissions team went above and beyond. They carefully navigated the intricacies of residency documentation for in-state tuition, and the evaluation of international transcripts, while upholding the standards of Florida Statute 1010.35 for doctoral student admissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fueling this operation was Slate, our cutting-edge admissions management system. This powerful tool empowered our admissions committees, streamlining application reviews and facilitating swift admissions recommendations. Moreover, it became the hub for seamless communication with our prospective students and applicants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The College of Graduate Studies spared no effort to ensure that every admitted applicant met our rigorous admission criteria, adhering to the university regulations that govern the acceptance of graduate students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recruit<\/strong>ing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The College of Graduate Studies is committed to creating a thriving graduate student community that reflects the diversity within our region and the desire of our graduate programs to build inclusive learning environments. In partnership with our graduate programs, the College of Graduate Studies helped facilitate 292 virtual and in-person events with prospective graduate students. As a result, CGS and program partners were able to meet 4,122 prospective applicants who attended various sessions throughout 2022-2023. In addition to those efforts, 31,153 prospects requested information about UCF\u2019s graduate programs using our online Request for Information Form. Representatives from the College of Graduate Studies also attended graduate recruitment events outside of UCF, providing information to prospective students on our over 200 graduate programs.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
