Who We Serve<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

UCF College of Graduate Studies is dedicated to supporting graduate education, by ensuring the resources needed for enrollment and program growth are in place. We track and analyze emerging trends and changes in graduate education, nationally and with our peer institutions, and provide support and guidance for interdisciplinary and cooperative programs. We are mindful of the need to retain the academic values of the graduate programs while acting as a partner in the social and economic well-being of our students, alumni, faculty, and staff. The college recognizes its responsibility to sustain and build graduate community at UCF; open to all and fosters a sense of belonging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the 2023-2024 academic year, the College of Graduate Studies admissions team processed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

extended 8,173<\/mark><\/strong> offers of admission, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

new students into our graduate community<\/p>\n\n\n\n

an 8.5%<\/mark><\/strong> percent increase over the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond these numbers, the admissions team provided exceptional support throughout the admissions process. They handled initial residency classification and residency reclassification for in-state tuition, evaluated international transcripts, and ensured compliance with Florida Statute 1010.35 (required screening for all students applying for research positions or research-related support positions), all while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By leveraging advanced tools, the team streamlined application reviews and maintained clear, consistent communication with prospective students. Through their dedicated efforts, the College of Graduate Studies ensured that all admitted applicants met UCF\u2019s rigorous academic and institutional requirements, reinforcing the integrity of the admissions process and upholding university standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recruitment<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The College is committed to fostering a vibrant graduate student community that mirrors the strengths of our region and supports the growth of dynamic learning environments in our graduate programs. In collaboration with these programs, the College of Graduate Studies has successfully facilitated several key initiatives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Hosted the annual Grad Fair, attracting 607<\/strong> prospective students attended the event who met with faculty and staff from over 90 UCF graduate programs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Organized 293<\/strong> virtual and in-person events for prospective students, allowing graduate programs to connect with over 3,203<\/strong> individuals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Conducted monthly campus tours for prospective graduate students, for a total of 174<\/strong> registrations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Hosted 17<\/strong> Graduate Admissions Information Sessions that garnered a total of 1,505<\/strong> registrations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Participated in 23<\/strong> recruitment events, both in-state and out-of-state, as well as various grad fairs and research conferences. Received requests for information about UCF\u2019s graduate programs from 32,280<\/strong> prospective applicants through our Online Request for Information Form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
