Academic Health Sciences Campus

The campus is home to the College of Medicine, the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences, and the College of Nursing. Located in Lake Nona, it is within walking distance of medical and research facilities, including UCF Lake Nona Medical Center, Cancer Center, Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Nemours Children’s Hospital, and the Johnson & Johnson Performance Institute.

Adaptive Recreation

The Recreation and Wellness Center is committed to providing inclusive programs, equipment, and facilities for students of all abilities. Accessible features include aquatic facilities with chair lifts and a zero-entry pool, assistive rock climbing, an adaptive kayak launch at Lake Claire, and a variety of accessible strength and cardio equipment.

Adaptive and Paralympic Sports

The Recreation and Wellness Center offers a variety of adaptive sports and outdoor activities for students of all abilities through intramural sports, sport clubs, and Outdoor Adventure programs. Events include Adaptive Climbing, Sitting Volleyball, Goal Ball, Wheelchair Basketball, and Beep Baseball.

Adventure Trips

The Adventure Trips Program offers UCF students a variety of outdoor experiences, from day trips to week-long expeditions. All experience levels are welcome. Trips are first-come, first-served through the UCF RWC app or Membership Portal and open to current students only, and include an activity fee.

Athletics

Graduate students can experience the excitement of UCF Athletics, home to 16 Division I teams competing in sports such as football, basketball, soccer, and volleyball. Attending games is a great way to connect with the campus community and show your Knight pride.

Athletics Ticketing

Currently enrolled, full-time UCF students receive free admission to regular-season home games. Football tickets can be claimed through the UCF Gameday app or at UCFKnights.com/Login starting Monday of each game week. Students who claim a ticket are guaranteed entry to the student section until 30 minutes before kickoff. For other sports, including basketball, soccer, volleyball, baseball, and softball, students can attend by showing a valid UCF ID at the gate on a first-come, first-served basis.

Campus Activities Board

The Campus Activities Board organizes unique events for the UCF student body and the Orlando community, funded through the Activity and Service Fee. Events are managed by eight committee directors under the guidance of CAB’s Executive and Associate Directors.

Campus Faiths and Ministries

Campus Faiths and Ministries is a network of faith-based organizations that support the personal, religious, and social needs of the UCF community. Member organizations offer opportunities for fellowship, worship, education, and community engagement, each following its own tradition while supporting the shared work of the campus network.

Challenge Course

The UCF Challenge Course promotes team building, self-confidence, and leadership through adventure-based learning. Programs are tailored to strengthen communication, trust, and group cohesion while supporting individual growth.

Climbing Tower

Located in the Recreation and Wellness Center, the 41-foot Climbing Tower offers more than 20 top-rope routes for all skill levels. No experience, registration, or gear is required, and bouldering routes are also available. There is also an Adaptive Climbing Program that allows students of all abilities to experience the benefits of climbing and reach their potential.

Commencement

UCF Commencement celebrates students’ academic achievements three times a year in Spring, Summer, and Fall. Graduates, family, friends, and faculty come together as students are recognized in a ceremonial walk across the stage. Find schedules, ticket and regalia info, photo opportunities, and more.

Downtown Campus

UCF Downtown is a 15-acre campus in Orlando’s Creative Village offering a modern, technology-rich learning environment. Its location near the Central Business District provides students with easy access to jobs, internships, and professional collaborations across a range of graduate programs in fields like business, health, public policy, and digital media.

Downtown Student Engagement

The Downtown Student Life Board is student-run and creates innovative programming and engagement activities for the Downtown campus. It provides opportunities for students to connect, lead events, and contribute to the campus community while gaining valuable experience and building skills.

Events Calendar

UCF Events is the online hub for creating, managing, and sharing events with the UCF community. Submit events with a title, date, category, and location, and easily display calendars on your site or recommend events for UCF’s main calendar.

Global Perspectives and International Initiatives

They advance UCF’s global mission by supporting international programs, building partnerships, and fostering interdisciplinary activities. It organizes events, research collaborations, and initiatives such as the India Center, the Center for the Study of Human Trafficking, and the Puerto Rico Research Hub.

UCF Global serves as the primary international hub at the University of Central Florida, supporting students, faculty, and staff. UCF Global promotes global engagement and helps transform the lives of UCF and international community members through partnerships, English language programs, and a range of services for the campus’s international population.

Good Morning UCF is a daily newsletter that keeps the UCF community informed about campus news, events, and important announcements, helping everyone stay connected.

Graduate Student Association

The official organization representing graduate and professional students at the University of Central Florida. Its mission is to advocate for the interests and well-being of graduate students, provide funding and support for professional development, research, and social activities, and foster a sense of community among the graduate student population.

Homecoming

Homecoming at UCF is a week of events leading up to the football game, providing students, alumni, faculty, and staff a chance to connect, have fun, and celebrate UCF spirit. Highlights include Comedy Knight, Knights Got Talent, Movie Knight, Concert Knight, Spirit Splash, and Ignite the Knight.

Intramural Sports

Intramural Sports provides team and individual leagues and tournaments throughout the year. Students of all skill levels can participate in recreational and competitive divisions. Discover how to join and get involved.

KnightConnect is a web-based platform that helps students connect with campus organizations, involvement opportunities, and events through a centralized portal, supporting engagement and student leadership.

KnightNews.com

KnightNews.com is an independent, student-run, non-profit news organization serving the UCF community. It provides 24-hour digital coverage of campus news, sports, and events while offering journalism students opportunities for professional reporting experience. KnightNews.com has earned multiple awards from the Society of Professional Journalists for its investigative and multimedia reporting.

Knights of the RELM

Knights of the RELM is a student organization within the Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery Center dedicated to combating human trafficking, modern-day slavery, and other social issues in the events industry. In partnership with United Abolitionists and It’s a Penalty, the organization promotes student development and community impact through local, national, and global mega-events while educating members on event duality and prevention strategies.

Lake Claire Recreation Area

The amenities at Lake Claire enable students to achieve healthy lifestyle goals while being immersed in the beautiful environment that surrounds the campus. Three lakeside pavilions provide students with outdoor areas to meet, socialize, and break free from the normal rigors of the classroom.

Late Knights

Late Knights offers weekly evening events for UCF students, from large celebrations like Fright Knight and Splashdown to smaller activities like trivia and painting. All students with a valid UCF ID can attend, and those interested in event planning can join the Late Knights Council to volunteer.

LGBTQ+ Services

LGBTQ+ Student Support Services connects students to resources, programs, and each other. Open to all students, including LGBTQ+ students and allies, the office fosters success, promotes education on LGBTQ+ issues, and provides a space to explore history, culture, and community resources.

Office of Student Involvement

The Office of Student Involvement enhances campus life through programs, services, and leadership opportunities that connect, involve, and impact students. Join one of our agencies or over 670 registered student organizations to take on leadership roles, build connections, and engage in events and programs across all UCF campuses.

Orlando is a hub for cultural, music, and sports events year-round, including those permitted or sponsored by the City.

Orange County Parks and Recreation

Orange County Parks and Recreation offers hundreds of parks, trails, and natural spaces for residents and visitors to enjoy. From playgrounds and sports fields to scenic trails and waterfronts, each park provides opportunities for recreation, relaxation, and connection with nature across the county.

Oviedo Events

Oviedo offers a variety of city-permitted and city-sponsored events throughout the year, from outdoor movies and comedy nights to festivals, parades, and community celebrations that bring residents together for fun, food, and entertainment.

Outdoor Adventure Center

Get ready for your next adventure at UCF. Rent gear for your own trip or join a guided Adventure Trip. You’ll find backpacks, tents, sleeping bags and pads, coolers, camp stoves, snorkeling and diving gear, stand-up paddleboards, kayak packages, and surfboard packages ready for you.

Pegasus Magazine

Pegasus magazine is UCF’s official publication, connecting alumni, students, and the community through stories on campus news, alumni achievements, research, and campus life. Published two to three times per year, it welcomes story ideas, feedback, and class notes.

Postdoctoral Affairs

UCF supports postdoctoral scholars throughout their appointments, providing career guidance, professional development, and a vibrant research environment. Postdocs work alongside world-class faculty on cutting-edge research, and programs like STePS and P3 help recruit and support exceptional scholars advancing UCF’s research mission.

President’s Leadership Council

The President’s Leadership Council recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in leadership, academics, extracurriculars, and community service. Comprising 35 student ambassadors, members represent UCF at presidential events, Board functions, commencement, and campus sporting events, extending the voice and values of the Office of the President.

Recreation and Wellness Center

All students have access to the 149,000-square-foot Recreation and Wellness Center, featuring fitness equipment, a track, multipurpose courts, a climbing wall, and outdoor amenities like sand volleyball courts, a leisure pool, a lap pool, and intramural sports fields. The RWC offers programs including intramural sports, sport clubs, outdoor adventure, fitness, and aquatics.

Recreation and Wellness Downtown

The 7,800-square-foot facility on the second floor of the UnionWest building on UCF’s Downtown campus serves both UCF and Valencia College students. They offers group exercise, personal training, free fitness assessments, functional fitness areas, strength and cardio equipment, and private showers.

Registered Graduate Student Organizations

UCF has 85 Graduate Student Registered Organizations, which are student-led clubs officially recognized by the university. These organizations provide graduate students with opportunities to get involved, connect with peers who share their interests, develop leadership skills, and participate in a variety of activities, events, and programs.

Rosen Life

Rosen Life represents Rosen College students and organizes events to build campus community. Funded by the Activity and Service Fee, the group also advocates for student needs and communicates with the Student Government.

Scholastic Association of Graduate Students in Engineering (SAGE)

SAGE is an engineering student organization supporting graduate students with resources, events, and advocacy, while fostering a connected and collaborative community across the college.

Scuba Certification

Outdoor Adventure partners with Ranger Rick’s SCUBA Adventures to offer entry-level NAUI SCUBA certification for enrolled UCF students. The course includes classroom sessions, pool practice dives, and open water dives over two weekends. Basic swimming skills are required, and a course fee applies.

Seminole County Parks and Recreation

Seminole County Parks and Recreation enriches lives by offering cultural, educational, environmental, and recreational experiences through quality programs, facilities, and services. With over 40 parks, trailheads, and natural areas covering more than 7,300 acres, residents and visitors have abundant opportunities to explore, play, and connect with nature.

Sport Clubs

Join a Sport Club and compete, connect, and grow with like-minded Knights. With 43 teams, including Judo, Lacrosse, Ultimate Frisbee, Soccer, and Esports, there’s a club for every level, whether you’re new to the sport or a seasoned player. Many clubs travel across the state and nation to compete, building lifelong friendships while developing teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.

Student Assisted Workout

In partnership with students from UCF’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program, the Recreation and Wellness Center offers free assisted workouts for students with physical or sensory impairments. Participants receive individualized support, including help using equipment, personalized fitness plans, and guidance on safe and effective techniques.

Student Government

Student Government represents and serves the Student Body through three branches. The Judicial Branch protects students’ rights, the Legislative Branch advocates for student needs and allocates funding, and the Executive Branch hosts programs and represents students on University Committees. Student Government also manages the Activity and Service Fee and oversees elections for Senate and Student Body President and Vice President.

Student Government Graduate Student Senate Seats

Graduate students at UCF are represented in the Student Government Senate through the College of Graduate Studies. Seats are allocated based on enrollment. To apply for vacant Senate seats, log into KnightConnect and go to “57th Senate Session Appointment Applications” under the Forms tab.

Student Government Ticket Center

The SGA Ticket Center offers discounted tickets to local theme parks, attractions, movie theaters, and transportation services. Tickets are available exclusively to UCF students, faculty, and staff. No cash accepted.

Student Union

Known as the “Heart of Campus,” the Student Union sits at the center of UCF’s Orlando campus, offering space for studying, socializing, dining, hosting events, and engaging in campus life. The Union houses key student services, university departments, and collaborative spaces.

Swim Lessons

Private swim lessons are available for $25 per 30-minute session with a certified instructor. UCF students can also join free swim classes in Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced levels, meeting twice a week for five weeks. Sign up online and choose the level and schedule that fits you.

The Charge

Operated by journalism majors in UCF’s Nicholson School of Communication and Media, The Charge is a student-run digital news publication. Content is created, edited, and published by students in the journalism program under faculty guidance, with senior capstone students serving as editors. The views expressed do not represent those of the university.

UCF Arboretum

The UCF Arboretum offers students, staff, and visitors hands-on opportunities to explore campus natural lands and learn about plants, ecosystems, and sustainability. Its 800+ acres of landscapes and natural areas support recreation, conservation, and native wildlife habitats. The Arboretum also operates a community garden and greenhouse, providing fresh produce to campus wellness programs.

The UCF Art Gallery is free and open to the public, offering visual art, education, and community engagement. We foster dialogue between students, faculty, community members, and artists by supporting intellectual and creative exploration. The gallery presents exhibitions and programs that explore cultural and social contexts and highlight contemporary art practices.

UCF Celebrates the Arts

UCF Celebrates the Arts is an annual festival highlighting the creativity and innovation of UCF’s students and faculty. The event features performances, exhibitions, presentations, and interactive experiences designed to engage the campus and broader community.

UCF Music

UCF Music offers most campus music events free and open to the public. Ticketed events should be purchased in advance. The department celebrates music’s power to inspire creativity, promote diversity, and provide students with meaningful experiences in performance, education, composition, and research.

UCF Theatre

Experience a six-show season of musicals and plays designed for student learning and audience engagement. The first five productions take place on campus in the Black Box and Mainstage theatres, while the spring musical is featured at UCF Celebrates the Arts at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

Use Your Voice

UCF supports free speech and expression on most campus outdoor areas, as long as activities follow the law, do not disrupt operations, or infringe on others’ rights. Commercial activities must follow university rules.

Volunteer UCF

Volunteer UCF connects students with community organizations that match their interests, talents, and fields of study. Partnering with over 200 agencies, volunteers gain experience, build skills, meet new friends, and make a positive impact.
