Luminary Awards

Luminary Awards
When it comes to recognizing research and creative works at UCF, the Luminary Awards are very much like Hollywood’s Oscars. The awards recognize faculty members across all disciplines for academic leadership in their fields and for conducting work that has a significant impact on the world. A special event is held each October to recognize these individuals.
The university president and provost usually attend, and each honoree is recognized for their contributions. Recipients are given a glass plaque, take photos with university leadership, receive peer accolades during the invitation-only event, and are recognized on this page. The Office of Research and Faculty Excellence co-sponsor the awards and events.
