UCF's Highest Honor
Twenty-one students out of 65 nominations were inducted into the 2017 Order of Pegasus. These students are recognized for their exemplary performance and breadth of accomplishments.
Four graduate students have been given the Order of Pegasus, the highest and most prestigious student award that can be attained at the University of Central Florida. Awardees are selected based on academic achievement, professional or community service, leadership, and publication or research experience. The winners will be honored at a ceremony this spring on March 27.
The 2017 Order of Pegasus recipients are:
- Jacqueline Babb, College of Medicine, Doctor of Medicine
- Emily Herrington, College of Sciences, Anthropology
- Madeline Marks, College of Sciences, Clinical Psychology
- Whitney Watkins, College of Education and Human Performance, Higher Education and Policy Studies
Students are nominated by a member of the university community and must go through a rigorous selection process. Order of Pegasus recipient’ names and pictures are hung in the Pegasus Lounge, an area in the Student Union dedicated to awardees. They also receive commemorative medals, SGA Scholarships and lifetime memberships to the Alumni Association.
