Bike N’ Gold

Located inside the Student Union across from College Optical, UCF Bike Repair offers free repairs for students, including tire inflation, tube changes, brake adjustments, gear tuning, and more.

Students with a valid UCF ID can also use the Bike N’ Gold bike share program as an alternative to driving. Bikes can be rented for a week, a month, or a semester at no cost. The shop is open Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with weekly check-ins to ensure bikes remain in good condition.

Brightline

Brightline is a higher‑speed passenger rail service in Florida running from Orlando to Miami with four stops in between, including West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, and Aventura. It offers multiple daily departures and onboard amenities for convenient regional travel.

Daily Virtual Parking Permits

Daily virtual permits are $8 and valid for 24 hours from purchase. Overnight parking is not allowed in garages D, H, or F (Main campus) and Amelia and Parramore garages (Downtown) from midnight to 6 am. Your license plate serves as your permit once purchased.

EV Charging Stations

UCF offers 8 Level 2 EV charging stations on main campus. Register via the EV Gateway app or call 1‑855‑699‑9191 to start a session.

Grocery Shuttle

Shuttles run every 45 minutes from 10 am to 8 pm between campus stops and Publix at University Palms Shopping Center. Main campus stops include Academic Village (near RWC), Nike/Neptune (Libra Garage loop), Towers (Addition Financial Arena), Greek Park, and Lake Claire (Lot H5). Final Publix departure is 8 pm.

UCF Downtown offers a grocery shuttle twice per month on Tuesdays to Publix at The Paramount on Lake Eola, with departures at 12:30 pm and 8:30 pm and return trips at 1:45 pm and 9:45 pm.

Health Sciences Campus (Lake Nona) Shuttle

Shuttles run Monday–Friday from 7:20 am to 6 pm between the main campus (Physical Sciences Building and Biomolecular Research Annex) and Lake Nona (Laureate Boulevard).

Housing Insecurity

If you’re facing housing insecurity, there is a list of links to local shelters, housing programs, and support services. Eligible UCF students can apply for the Homeless Waiver. Contact Student Care Services for guidance and assistance.

Intra-Campus Shuttle

The Pegasus Express (clockwise) and Knights Express (counterclockwise) circulate the Gemini loop with 10 stops near academic buildings and popular campus locations. This complimentary, ADA-accessible service is available to students, employees, and guests, Monday–Friday when classes are in session.

LYFT

Student Government partners with Lyft to offer students $7.50 off two rides each month on Fridays and Saturdays from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. Rides must be within the UCF zone, and students must use the business setting in the Lyft app with a unique monthly code.

LYMMO

LYMMO offers free, convenient transport around downtown Orlando, with two lines serving UCF Downtown. Operating weekdays from 6:00 am to 10:45 pm (hours vary weekends), LYMMO follows the same safety standards as LYNX.

LYNX

UCF students and employees can ride all LYNX routes for free with a valid UCF ID. The LYNX Central Station is a five-minute walk from UCF Downtown.

Motorist Assists

If you have unexpected vehicle troubles on campus, Parking and Transportation offers free assistance for students, staff, and faculty. Call the non‑emergency UCF Police line at 407‑823‑5555 between 7:30 am and 7:00 pm for help with battery jumps, tire inflations, door openings, fuel escorts, lost vehicle escorts, and towing services.

Off-Campus Housing

This site lists rental units for UCF students. Property owners are responsible for accuracy, and neither UCF nor Off Campus Partners guarantees completeness or safety. Listings are not endorsements, and tenants should use their own judgment when evaluating properties.

Off-Campus Shuttles

UCF shuttles run only when classes are in session and do not operate during campus closures or holidays. They provide 10 routes serving 23 off-campus apartment complexes and the Central Florida Research Park, stopping only at designated locations for safety. Riders must show a valid UCF ID before boarding. Use the Shuttles icon in the UCF Mobile app to view schedules, stops, and real-time shuttle locations.

RedCoach Bus Service

RedCoach provides affordable trips from UCF’s Libra Garage stop to South Florida, Tallahassee, and Gainesville. Tickets start at $24.99, with a 10% discount for students (select “student” when booking).

Spin Scooters

UCF has partnered with SPIN, a Ford subsidiary, to offer electric scooters as a sustainable transportation option on campus. Scooters operate within campus boundaries, with a 10 mph speed limit in pedestrian-heavy areas, and a curfew from 11:00 pm to 5:00 am.

Special Circumstance and Emergency Funding

The Student Emergency Fund helps actively enrolled UCF students facing urgent financial crises with expenses such as housing, food, tuition, utilities, transportation, or medical needs. Assistance is limited, requires documentation, and is reviewed case‑by‑case.

Sunrail

SunRail is a 61‑mile commuter rail system with 17 stations across Volusia, Seminole, Orange, and Osceola counties. Trains offer free Wi‑Fi, power outlets, bike racks, and a fast, affordable way to connect communities for work and leisure travel.

UCF Parking Services

Students register their vehicle’s license plate in the online system when purchasing a permit. The system links the plate to your payment, creating a virtual permit. When you park on campus, cameras read your plate and check it against the database to confirm valid parking. Vehicles without a valid permit or parked in the wrong lot may receive a citation.

UCF Downtown Shuttle

UCF Parking and Transportation Services offers 15 daily express shuttles between the main campus (between Garage A and Garage I) and UCF Downtown. Open to students and employees with a valid UCF ID, shuttles run Monday–Thursday 6:30 am through 10:30 pm and Friday until 8:30 pm (except holidays/closures). All shuttles have WiFi and are ADA compliant.

Union West and Creative Village

UnionWest is the only student housing affiliated with UCF Downtown and Valencia College Downtown, located in Orlando’s Creative Village. The 15‑story community offers modern apartments with stunning skyline views, convenient access to classrooms, dining, student services, and vibrant city life. Zipcar

Zipcar offers self‑service car rentals by the hour or day for students at UCF’s main campus. Members reserve cars online or via the Zipcar app, with gas, insurance, and mileage included in the rate. This flexible, cost‑effective option helps reduce the need for car ownership.
