Welcome, Postdoctoral Scholars
Welcome to the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs! As a leader in research and innovation, UCF is home to exceptionally talented faculty, students, and staff, and we are committed to cultivating a transformative experience to prepare our postdocs for their future careers in academia, industry, and more. Here at UCF, we are proud to offer an active and supportive environment where postdoctoral scholars can thrive. Our office serves as a dedicated, one-stop resource to champion postdocs from the beginning of their appointments through to their next career steps.
We work closely with each college during postdoc recruitment and remain engaged to offer professional development, career guidance, and other relevant aspects of the postdoc experience. Our postdocs work one-on-one with world class faculty on an array of cutting-edge research topics from Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare to Zero-Energy Buildings. We greatly value the unique contributions our postdoctoral scholars bring and are committed to fostering a supportive environment where they can thrive and further develop their research and teaching expertise. We are enthusiastic about helping postdocs make the most of their time at UCF and look forward to enhancing their journey as part of our vibrant research community.
In addition to supporting postdoctoral life at UCF, our office also administers the Short-Term Postdoctoral Support (STePS) program and the Preeminent Postdoctoral Program (P3). As part of the university’s Strategic Plan, we aid in the recruitment of exceptionally skilled postdoctoral appointees, accomplished in their respective fields, to advance UCF’s robust research environment.
