If the graduate program recommends you for admission, the College of Graduate Studies will review your application to ensure that all minimum admissions requirements are met. Offers of admission can only come from the College of Graduate Studies.

• Once you’ve decided to accept or decline your offer, login to your applicant status portal and complete your accept decline form. 
• You must enroll for the term indicated on your admission letter. If you do not register for your original admission term, your classes will be dropped for subsequent terms and your admission revoked. If you wish to change your term of application, you must submit a new application and fee.
• Check your admission letter for the accuracy of your name, entrance term, and program of study. Address, telephone and email changes can be made in your myUCF portal.  All other changes must be submitted in writing to the College of Graduate Studies.

You should request transcripts from all previously attended schools. All transcripts must be official and sent directly from the relevant institutions. If you are a UCF alumni, your transcripts will be requested automatically by the UCF College of Graduate Studies.

If your education is from outside of the United States, please refer to our Sample Country Requirements page to review and submit the required documents listed under your country of education.

The official final transcripts must reach the College of Graduate Studies before you register for your first term. Final transcripts must be received by the end of your first term enrolled.

Failure to provide the official final transcript/academic record will prevent progress in your degree program until it has been received and reviewed by the College of Graduate Studies. Action may include: admission revocation, delay in reaching candidacy, or delay in the approval for graduation.

If you’re claiming Florida residency status for tuition purposes, complete the residency declaration for on your application status portal and respond to all follow up requests. Once you register for classes, access your fee invoice and ensure that appropriate tuition fees are assessed.

Upon accepting your admission offer, you must submit a completed Immunization Health History form provided by UCF Health Services. A complete form must be on file before registering for classes.

Inform your degree program as soon as possible that you’ve accepted your admission offer. Find out about any required program orientation sessions and sign up as soon as possible.

Register for the College of Graduate Studies Orientation for a complete overview of resources and required university trainings you will need within your first year as a UCF graduate student.

International students are required to complete a MANDATORY immigration orientation session. New students to the university will receive an email with registration instructions. For more information, please contact UCF Global at intlorientations@ucf.edu.

Many graduate students receive some form of financial support during their graduate study. Graduate student funding comes in the form of fellowships, assistantships, or student loans.

Student ID Card

Your UCF card provides access to UCF Libraries resources (including online), the Recreation and Wellness Center, athletic events, and more.

ID cards can be obtained at the UCF Card Services Office located in the John T. Washington Center.

*Students at Regional Campuses and Distance Learning Students should see the Distance Learning and Regional Campuses page to obtain their card.

UCF ID

Your; UCF ID (also sometimes called PID or EMPLID) is a 7-digit number that is a unique identifier used by staff and faculty for different purposes. For example, an advisor would use the UCF ID to pull your degree audit, approve a limited registration course, and assist with your academic schedule.

NID

Your NID (Network ID) is used to authenticate you into UCF systems. Memorize your username and password — they allow you to register for classes, request transcripts online, check grades, access email and more.

Never share your NID or NID password.

Use your NID for logging on and gaining access to many University systems such as:

• The my.ucf.edu portal
• The UCF_WPA2 wireless network
• The UCF Virtual Private Network (VPN)
• Public computer labs managed by CS&T including Technology Commons and Classroom Building 1
• Applications that utilize single sign on capabilities

Visit myUCF to retrieve your NID.

Visit mynid.ucf.edu to reset your NID password.

The myUCF portal is an online resource for student personal records, academic history, and financial aid information. Update your address, pay your tuition, and register for courses all within your portal!

• Visit my.ucf.edu and click the Sign in button to get to the Sign On page.
• Log in using your NID, a UCF issued credential that allows access to UCF resources.
• See the Graduate Catalog Registration page for additional information on registering for classes as a graduate student.

Newly admitted students will be provided with a UCF email address. Official UCF communication will only be sent to your UCF email — no other email address will be used.

Check your UCF email frequently to avoid missing information about funding, deadlines, assignments, requirements, and more.

Review your myUCF portal for any holds on your account. Failure to provide official, final transcripts, or immunization records w will result in an immediate registration hold. These holds also delay any pending financial aid disbursements, so be sure to submit all required documentation as soon as possible.

This course educates new graduate students on UCF’s policies regarding plagiarism through student perspectives and real-life scenarios; students are educated on the importance of avoiding plagiarism and the consequences of committing any form of plagiarism.

Length of course. Approximately 1.5-2 hours

Is this course required? All new graduate students, including non-degree seeking students, students auditing courses and students earning graduate certificates, are required to complete this course. 

How to enroll? It will automatically appear in your Webcourses@UCF account early in your first semester.

What if I do not finish before the deadline? A registration Hold will be placed on your myUCF account and you will be unable to register for classes until this course is completed.

Parking

Virtual parking permits are required for students to park on campus. Register your license plate with UCF Parking Services or via the UCF Mobile app.

Graduate Student Center

The Graduate Student Center (GSC) is a dedicated space for graduate students to gather for professional development, workshops, rehearsal of presentations, thesis or dissertation defenses, guest lectures, study, and collaborate. Hang out, study, and grab a cup of free coffee at the GSC!

UCF Libraries

UCF Libraries is your source for finding academic or peer-reviewed sources for research projects and course assignments. Be sure to visit Services for Grad Students and Postdocs or the Graduate Research Guide to learn more about library service options for graduate students.

Student Health Services (Health Center)

Student Health Services provides a variety of primary and specialty care services to help keep students at their optimum health. Services include primary care, a pharmacy, a dental center, and specialty care (including sports medicine, nutrition services, and more).

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is a free-of-charge campus agency designated to provide psychological services to university-enrolled students. CAPS staffs licensed (or license-eligible) psychologists, mental health counselors, and social workers who provide a confidential environment in which students may explore and resolve their issues of concern.

Bookstore

UCF’s official bookstore, Barnes and Noble offers textbooks for purchase or rental as well as other course materials. Order your materials online for pick up or browse in person. The bookstore is also a great source for UCF logo items so that you can show off your Knights pride!

Housing

We recommend that you start looking for a place to live as soon as possible. Check out UCF Housing and to view the campus affiliated housing options available to UCF graduate students. Many off-campus options include full shuttle service to campus!

International students planning to enroll for the spring 2025 term are encouraged to explore off-campus housing options at The Verge Orlando, conveniently located less than one mile from campus! Located on UCF’s main campus, the Creative School for Children provides childcare services to UCF students and employees for children aged six weeks to five years.
