Nanotechnology

Nanotechnology is bringing enormous opportunities for new products and new business development. According to U.S. National Science Foundation estimates, in the future, the annual global market for nanotechnology-related goods and services will top $1 trillion, thus making it one of the fastest-growing industries in history. There is an increasing demand from industry and academia for a well-trained workforce with both scientific background and professional skills to work in nanotechnology-related research, product development, and commercialization.

Offered through the UCF NanoScience Technology Center, the Master’s in Nanotechnology, Non-Thesis Track Program provides students with scientific education in nanotechnology and professional training in business and technology entrepreneurship. The program prepares students with the necessary skills for seeking employment in industry and academia involved in nanotechnology research, product development, and commercialization.

The Master of Science in Nanotechnology program provides students with scientific knowledge and research training in nanoscience and nanotechnology. The program prepares students for seeking employment in industry and academia involved in nanotechnology research, product development, and commercialization, or to pursue advanced PhD degrees in related areas.
